Screw Machine Heat Treating

Heat and surface treatment complete the range of manufacturing services of our production and machining capability.

Heat treating of a wide range of materials – including carbon, alloy, tool and high speed steels – are performed in a controlled environment. Case-hardening, annealing and tempering also are available. Special continuous-flow ovens support high volume and smaller sized components.

Most surface treatments are performed in the CNC plating department. Processes include: Nickel, electroless nickel, copper, zinc (blue, black or yellow), black oxide, chromate, precious metal, anodizing, hex-free chrome, electrolytic deburring and bright dip. Other surface treatments include electropolishing, TIN coating, passivation, cleaning, and application of rust inhibitors.
